Liane Caryl, M.D. is a psychiatrist, writer, award-winning speaker,
and the mother of one child, two dogs, and a cat – all of whom are
allowed on the couch. She has written and performed stand-up comedy
and will be returning to the stage again this year. She has spoken
at conferences across the United States on topics related to psychiatric
aspects of aging and humor and has written articles and blogs about
the same. She has been interviewed in articles, on radio, and has been
a guest expert on television. Stories about Dr. Liane have appeared
in the Los Angeles Times and the University of Miami Alumnae magazine.
