Katie Williams was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, and
attended Topeka Drive Elementary School, Nobel Middle School, and
Granada Hills High School where she was active in student council and
planning social events. In her senior year of high school she was voted
by her peers as “Everyone’s Best Friend.” In 2006, she graduated cum
laude with a degree in Speech Studies from Hillsdale College in
Michigan.
Williams enjoys writing for discipline and for enjoyment and her work
has been featured in several different newspapers and magazines. At age
20 she published her first book called Journey of the Heart:
Transforming the tragedy of a family suicide into healing, beauty and
discovering God. She spoke to Oprah Winfrey about her book on Oprah’s XM
radio show, “Talk to Me.”
In her free time, 23 year old Williams enjoys writing for Valley Voice,
practicing martial arts, watching movies, drinking sweet coffee, keeping
in touch with friends, meeting new people, going to the beach, and
barbecuing and attending Shepherd of the Hills Church with her family on
Sundays. Williams currently works in the radio business for Clear
Channel.
In the future, Williams hopes to be a successful author and public
speaker. To hear the Oprah interview or pick up a copy of her book,
