Staff Bio - Keith Tucker

“GONE TO MAUI!”

Hollywood Storyboard Animator Keith Tucker Alive & Working In Hawaii.

While the State of Hawaii aspires to make the islands a sort of "Hollywood West," one film animator has already hung his shingle in Paradise.

Keith Tucker is part of a growing trend for film artists who take the risk of emigrating from the Hollywood nucleus. Creativity knows no boundaries and with the new age of telecommuting, Keith Tucker didn't really leave Hollywood, he just brought it with him.

Known for his hard work ethic and dedication to deadlines, Keith Tucker's imagination thrived on Hawaii's ambiance, producing storyboards for such animation shows as "Life with Louie", "XO-Men” and "Spiderman".

Today on the Island of Maui, he is known as a production powerhouse with a reputation for original thinking and reliability. Keith Tucker's work includes storyboarding for Warner Brothers' “ Pinky and the Brain”,” Baby Looney Tunes" and "Ozzy and Drix" as well as various video games and live action concepts. Says one Hollywood client, "You just can't slow this guy down!"

When asked how he pulls off such a plethora of time sensitive and long distance work he credits, "faxes, computers, the telephone and overnight deliveries". "Do good work in a timely fashion and you're an asset to any production," says Tucker.

Drawn to Hawaii from California in 1975 he stayed till the early eighties when he was drawn to the Hollywood effects boom. As an effects animator he worked on such productions as "Star Trek II", John Carpenter's, "The Thing", “Robo-Cop III” and “Conan".

Keith Tucker's diverse career includes storyboards for film and animation that spans almost twenty years.
