I was born to travel. I began early, at ten years, when, with my father,
a produce broker, we drove to Michigan and Indiana and I was introduced
to the plight of migrant workers.
After college, I seriously entered a lifetime love of foreign places
with a two and a half month study at the University of Mexico. It was
exhilarating, so I kept on traveling.
A move by one son to Tokyo inspired trips to Asian countries with the
hub in Japan. But, as a history buff, I am most pleased to have
experienced visiting Eastern Europe and Russia while they were the
Soviet Empire.
