A peek at the person behind "Dear Teacher". Her name is Sandy,
and she is an experienced teacher, author, and private tutor.
Sandy grew up in Rhode Island, and later moved to Boston,
Massachusetts where she attended Boston University and taught
school in the Boston area. The move to Los Angeles came later,
and she recently retired from a long, rewarding teaching career
with the L.A.U.S.D..
Sandy cares deeply about the concerns facing students, parents,
and teachers, and hopes her column will provide an avenue for
expression, and hopefully some answers to the pertinent issues
regarding education.
